Were Just Ordinary People

"In the adversity of our best friends we always find something which is not wholly displeasing to us."

--Duc de La Rochefoucauld, 1600's

I found this quote the other day while browsing some of my colleague's (just some random person) blogs here on the world wide web, and couldnt help to think to myself "And thats the way it should be."

I mean, think about all the times one little thing during, say, a Madden Match-up, a game of basketball, or even being on the same sports team. In all these situations one could become somewhat angry at another. Yet at the end of the day or when everything is over and done with, everyone is still friends. No hard feelings.

Its the times when people tend to disregard the past and focus on the present situation without thinking about the future repercussions, these are the times when friendships crumble, no matter how long lasting they may have been. Do to one parties or both are reluctant to come together and resolve......thus leading to hate.....opening the door to other feelings/issues occurring.

one things for sure. one goes through life making/losing many friends. through that journey though, you begin to realize who your real friends are. who is really like you, who really accepts you, who really will stand up for you. And these people are the ones who this quote refers to. A conflict between a friend is like breaking your finger. You can still function through the day with no problem, but occasionally that pain flares up and you feel it. It heals fairly quickly and doesn't come with after effects. A conflict with a good friend though is like breaking a leg. It takes a very lengthy amount of time to mend. Constantly in pain, prevents you from doing normal chores or makes them very difficult. And because nobody has the time to wait it out, It never heals right and you are left with a constant reminder of it through out your life. Those who resolve those conflicts with close friends (mend their leg correctly and quickly) will come out of the situation stronger then ever. And THAT my friends is whats really good.

But.......IDK, im just a young kid rambling about what little I say i know about life. what do I really know right?

Whats Good HOMIE!!

I haven't hit yall up with anything in a while.

Call me Stephen A. Smith cus quite frankly (haha, ive always wanted to say that) I didn't think any thing was worth enough to write about.

But, NONETHELESS, I do have some little thoughts that, i guess, I can put together to, i guess, make a new post.

Aight children.....Here we goooo

  • Britney Spears..... as you read that, I will bet that your interest jumped 10 fold. But sorry folks, just wanted to say WHO CARES. That shit shouldn't be news. come on now.

I will admit thought that type of colossal drop from pop princess to bald man was pretty funny.

  • Did Amy Winehouse used to be a male......you know, before she went back to black....They tried to make you go to rehab......AND YO ASS SHOULD HAVE GONE, GONE GONE!
  • OJ Simpson.....congratulations. That's all I can say.
I even have the video of the robbery RIGHT HERE. WATCH IT!

wow. I cant believe they thought they could just steal his shit like that. ha, craziness all around.

  • peep game, did you know that Juice's (O.J.) girl cheated on him with some guy. OJ then went up to the guy and threatened to kill him.....ahhh feels like 1994 all over again.
  • 2 words............Hayden Panettiere
  • 2 more words.............Kim Kardashian
  • Ha, while we are on the subject. Vanessa Hudgens. yea the Disney girl. yea the one from that High School Musical. Ok Ok YES, the fine one. Decided to send someone some pics of herself. Naked ones I might add.
Now if you are a famous person. And shes pretty famous now cus of that movie. Wouldn't you think that something like this would happen. And if you don't know whats going on, her picture is all over the Internet now. Yes the nude one.

I have a feeling that half of my readers, (I'm assuming that there are more than one) just tried to search for that picture.

The funny thing is, if you have that picture, and you live in AZ, you can get 10 years in prison if someone snitches on you. HA, jokes on you cus, well, shes underage yall.

Those same people from above just tried to clean up their computers, haha.

  • Wu-Tang is coming back.
  • My softball team is 0-3.......

we are making a comeback though. WE GONE WIN IT ALL YO!.....I hope :/

  • Why don't Rage Against the Machine have a Myspace? I searched for them the other day and couldnt find them. WHAT A SHAME! Tons of other broken up groups have one, why not RATM?

Until Next time, May the force be with you, don't go into a seizure playing HALO 3 all night, or for those that don't have it yet, in 2 hours and 20 mins.

THIS REALLY GRINDS MY GEARS...

Now here's a video of a student at the University of Florida. He is at a microphone asking 2004 democratic presidential candidate John Kerry a question. He is up there for a little bit of time because he is prefacing his question to give the other members of the audience info about what he is about to ask.

Subsequently his mic is turned off and 2 "bad ass" cops arrive next to him to escort him out. Now if I were in this guys shoes, I would have done the same thing. Having done nothing wrong, seeing 2 cops at my side, I would be quite perturbed at how the situation got so hostile. SERIOUSLY....JUST FOR SOME QUESTIONS....apparently the wrong questions.

Ill let you watch the video to see what happens next......if you are a normal human being......and your name isn't Ann Coulter or Bill O'Reily........you will find this to be quite saddening but not surprising none the less.

In the words of Peter Griffin...........THIS REALLY GRINDS MY GEARS

Theres a reason why the phrase "fuck the police" exists.

There's a reason why the many groups/artists have made songs about cops, and not ones of praise either.

There have been many incidents in this country's quite recent history where the police have taken advantage of their "protector of the people" power for something other than good.

Aight, to put it bluntly, police think they are the shit, and they can do anything they want.

Sometimes, police are forced to take actions in their duty of "protectors" but sometimes these actions are extremely over the top just for the reason of "we can". And thats what needs to stop.

Just because you could shoot someone doesn't mean that it has to be done. Excessive force is not always the answer.

Keep in mind, there are good cops out there but their fellow co-workers have given the whole force a bad rap that you cant help but hate all of them.

I've only met one good one in my life......one.

In the words of NWA, Dead Prez, J. Dilla, Bone Thugz and Harmony, Kanye West.....and many others....FFFFFFuckthepolice

Travis Barker......Rockstar Mentality

Cruising on the internet on my computer.....watching the videos, singing the songs.......

That was my rendition of Eazy-E's "Boyz In Da Hood"........its a good start dont you think, haha.

ANYWAY........Soulja Boy's song "Crank Dat" is getting mad play by all the lil teen agers and suburban kids all across the nation. Dances are cropping up, and many of them have some little twist on them to keep them original, so to speak.

Now everybody's favorite drummer Travis Barker (of Blink-182 fame) put his own twist on the song too. And no it wasnt a dance, which would have been pretty funny to watch.......hahaha....laughing just thinking about that. But here you watch it and tell me what you think. In my opinion, this video is pretty nice, might even push me to listen to more of his stuff.....might.....

Crying is good for you......right?

So.....In more entertaining news.........

Our Beloved President, George W. Bush, conducted several interviews with journalist Robert Draper in late 2006 and early 2007. He also was allowed to unlimited access to White House aides, for the book "Dead Certain: The Presidency of George W. Bush," which went on sale Tuesday.

Well, I don't really know where the "Dead Certain" part came from...because we all know how right the Bush Administration has been.....

Anyways I was reading an article that had some excerpts from the book and I thought you all might enjoy them:

"I fully understand that the enemy watches me, the Iraqis are watching me, the troops watch me, and the people watch me...I do tears."
Haha.

"I've got God's shoulder to cry on. And I cry a lot. I do a lot of crying in this job. I'll bet I've shed more tears than you can count, as president. I'll shed some tomorrow."

HAha.

Good old G.W. Bush. You can always count on him for that little one liners. At the bottom of the article, the author states that Bush
said he ate chocolate in the evenings after he swore off booze, because his body missed the sugar......

HAHA!

ahhhh that was much needed after that last post. ahhhhhh

No...Really....."I am NOT gay"

Next time you go to a bathroom in at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport, make sure you are not sitting in the stall adjoining the one occupied by a Mr. Larry Craig. Back in June of this year the (Rep.) Senator from Idaho was caught red handed by a undercover police officer trying to engage in what is categorized as "lewd conduct."

A recording of the conversation between Sen. Craig and the officer once they reached the Airport Police Station can be found here. (click on Audio: Sen. Craig's Arrest). During the recording, the officer repeatedly tells the Senator to stop lying and that he is disappointed that Mr. Craig is acting in such a manner.

Now before I continue, I would like to bring to your attention that on multiple occasions, (ie 1982, and Dec. 2006) Sen. Craig was accused of being homosexual but adamantly denied any of that.

Now back to the story. Sen. Craig plead guilty on a misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct and has pretty much been abandoned by the Republican Party and is said to be officially stepping down by September 30 of this year.

Now after this story broke, 3 MEN came out and accused the Senator being involved in some sort of sexual conduct with them. These accusations ranged from cruising** to the other end of the spectrum in oral sex........wow.

Here is a link to a confession of the man who said that he and the Senator from Idaho. The voice is disguised for privacy.

Now in a press conference held on the 28th of August Sen. Craig had this to say:

I am not gay. I never have been gay.... In June, I overreacted and made a poor decision. I chose to plead guilty to a lesser charge in hopes of making it go away.... Please let me apologize to my family, friends and staff and fellow Idahoans for the cloud placed over Idaho. I did nothing wrong at the Minneapolis airport. I did nothing wrong, and I regret the decision to plead guilty and the sadness that decision has brought on my wife, on my family, friends, staff and fellow Idahoans.

So, he said he was guilty thinking it wasn't going to get any bigger of a situation than it was. He was hoping to make "it go away." With the support of his friends in the Republican Party gone, Senator Larry Craig is spiraling downward in his own whirlpool of a disaster.

Or is it one.

I don't know what happened in that Minnesota bathroom, but Craig sounded quite nervous.

Quite nervous.

^oh and on a side note the Senator is very well known for his Anti-Gay voting in the Senate. I should have said that earlier but forgot for some reason.

Now with "Pottygate" (what CNN dubbed the story, staying in tune with any other government scandal) ruining his career, the accusations all came out. The one with the robot voice you already heard sounded VERY suspect..........and greatly disgusting IMO. The guy basically said "oh it looked like him, and I'm kinda interested in politics, that means I know everybody"....RIGHT

The other accusation was from a Frat boy from University of Idaho when Craig was the President of the house.........40 years ago........I still don't understand why anyone would wait that long. Unless they liked doing it back then and are just trying to get famous now OR their life was threatened. Yea, I would think the former.

The third guy accused the Senator of cruising** him in a store in Idaho.........come on now.

No way am I defending this guy......I am just saying how the whole thing is kinda weird. A anti-gay Senator accused of being involved in....well....gay activities. He should never have been in that situation to begin with. You are a public official for god's sake......

Anyway, it was brought to my attention that his privacy was invaded..........and to that I said, excuse my language, BULLSHIT!!!!

First of all, he is an elected official so that automatically places him under public scrutiny since we elected him.....which also allows us to kick him out as well, right? RIGHT.

Quite RIGHT!

Second of all, was it entrapment on the officer's part? Maybe....I wasn't there. By the sound of that tape at the station though it sure sounds like this is a common enough occurrence in that bathroom. So that cop was looking for that to happen. Soooo......the fact that it happened to be him was it coincidence? I have no idea.

Anyway, thats all I have to say. Soon to be former (R) Idaho Senator Larry Craig is forever gonna go down as the guy who wanted to have sex with another male in a restroom in a Minnesota Airport.....Congrats.

Welcome to America.

In Hip Hop I Trust

So over the last month, I have purchased 4 albums. Some of you out there are probably thinking I'm just wasting my money. Some of you out there think that my buying the CD's is the way to go. Whatever you think....I bought them. And you know what? They were seriously worth the money. The ones I bought were:

  • Common's Finding Forever
  • Talib Kweli's Eardrum
  • Aesop Rock's None Shall Pass
  • MF Doom's MM Food

The Common CD is by far the best one IMHO. When he put out
Be, I thought that he really out did himself on it as far as content and production. Let me be honest with you guys/gals (if there really is anyone reading these), Finding Forever is WAY better. This album is listenable from top to bottom and all the way through.

The first song is an intro, which is basically an instrumental building up. Just like the Intro on
Be, it is worth the listen but you can definitely skip it (I know I said you wont need the next button but its just an instrumental.....if you enjoy real music you will like it. If you are a n00b - well then you are a n00b) and go straight to the second song. All but 4 of the tracks are produced by his Chi-Town counterpart Mr. Kanye West. Even a beat by the late J.Dilla (aka Jay Dee) is present on the song featuring D'Angelo called So Far to Go

From songs about real life ideals to romantic common-esque songs to the ones of brute lyricism. Common's Finding Forever delivers and efficiently as well seeing that the album is only 12 songs long (which is a norm now for him). The guest spots on the album are very polished as well, the best one being the appearance of British singer Lily Allen on Driving me Wild. With the use of female artists from across the pond suddenly being the cool thing to do (i.e. Amy Winehouse and Natasha Bedingfield.......aight maybe not so much but still), Miss Allen's feature was on point. Kanye himself shows up on the Chicago Anthem Southside. I don't know if Kanye is saving all of his lyrics for his album but his appearance was actually NICE....when compared to most of his guest work as of late. As you go on, The Game is another gem on the CD only to be later upstaged by Misunderstood...here's a little snippet from it.

"He on the ground he could feel God touching him
He heard the sound of his moms sayin trustin him
At heaven's gate, saying please Lord let me in
Or send me back to tell my people to be better
men"

D-D-D-D-DOPE......if I were to rate the CD from 1-10....It would be a nine and only because it is such a short length. ONLY THAT.

Go Cop it please.....seriously best 12-13 bucks you've probably spent in a while. You really don't need that extra World of Warcraft character.....enlighten yourself and listen to this album!

"
Some dreams get lost never to be found again" - Misunderstood

till next time...I promise the Talib review is coming....promise
